Bring your kayak, canoe or SUP to meet with Appalachian Paddling Enthusiasts and Tennessee Eastman Hiking & Canoeing Club (TEHCC) for dinner and a paddle! We meet weekly during the summer at various locations on local area lakes in the Tri-Cities, TN area.

This week will be a Paddle & Picnic at Little Wilbur Lake in Elizabethton, TN, to take advantage of the cool fog that rises off the water in the evenings. We will be there for the sunset as well. Bring your own sandwich or something for a picnic!

This is a small lake, and all paddle craft are welcome. Please have a stern light for your boat and a headlamp for when we land. Use of PFDs and stern lights are Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) regulations.

Go to "Wilbur Lake" NOT Wilbur Dam put in. We will meet at the TVA Watauga Dam Tailwater Picnic Area. Note: It’s best to use the Waze app to drive to the TVA Watauga Dam Tailwater Picnic Area.
