Join APEs for the Lower Watauga River Cleanup  “Tailwater Roundup” sponsored by the Overmountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited. The river still has a great amount of debris left from Hurricane Helene, so we need as many volunteers as we can muster! Bring your own boat and gear (PFD, helmet and paddle) or you can reserve one of five tandem canoes and paddle (bring your own helmet and PFD) by contacting Deb Briscoe (info below). Please wear cold water gear. While there will not be a dam release, the water still will be very cold! We should be off the river by 2:00 pm.
